Feedback gevenWe kicked off our meal with Asmara Beer and a fantastic Ethiopian Honey Wine. As an appetizer, we savored the delicious Sambussa, which are pastries filled with green lentils and green bell peppers. For my main course, I opted for the incredibly flavorful green lentil soup made with lentils, onions, carrots, and spices. To spoil ourselves with a variety of flavors, we shared the Abyssinia Signature Platter Sampler, which featured Doro Wat, lamb tibs, spicy beef, white peas, lentils, Tikel gomen, chickpeas, and fosolias (green beans). I can’t express enough how flavorful and tender each of the portions on this plate was. This restaurant is a must-visit for Ethiopian food lovers, and it’s the perfect spot for anyone trying Ethiopian cuisine for the first time. Without a doubt, we will be returning. Kudos to the Zegeye family for sharing their rich heritage and amazing cuisine with us in the valley!
