The room was clean and comfy, and the view from my balcony was breathtaking. I loved the pools – they were huge and perfect for relaxing. The food at the restaurants was delicious, and I couldn't get enough of it. The resort had everything I needed for a great vacation, and the location was great for exploring Phoenix. I can't wait to come back to the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort. It's a five-star gem!
A hotel that is showing it’s age, especially the rooms and the stained carpet at the breakfast place, just to list a few. The hotel charges a $19 resort fee that provides no extra amenities, a $4 bell gratuity and a $4 maid gratuity. The room was missing coffee. The wifi is spotty and slow. I am a lifetime diamond member and was told no room upgrade was available but when I checked the app online, I could have easily upgraded but with a fee. Diamond member can be upgraded with no charge. The problem is that the front desk always denies you this citing the hotel is full, which is a lie most of the time. The breakfast credit is also a joke as they have more than double the price of it, so you always end up paying. The Hilton Honor program used to be the best, but has become a nickel and dime program where Diamond member are not honored as they should. A lifetime Diamond member has spent 1000 nights and a 10 year span as a Diamond level. They made a lot of money from me. The lack of recognition is very sad.
It is a very lovely property but sometimes you feel like a billy goat climbing all those stairs. Also there was a housekeeping cart parked in front of my room all day. Even after hours it was there.
I stayed in a 2 Queen Suite full with a couch, mini fridge, balcony, etc. Beds were super comfy. Housekeeping was on point and helpful. Ran out of soap and they came thru and refilled the bottles for me, and cleaned the room throughout the stay. Front desk staff was helpful and wonderful. They also assist with planning trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon if you ask for assistance.
I'll do my best to post this review with the resort's awful 1.66 Mbps internet connection, which, incidentally I've been trying to use for work all day.My room smells absolutely terrible; best I can tell, it's the smell of drywall mud. It looks like they may have recently redone the walls in stucco, which would explain it, but it's not ready for guests. Both of my disposable coffee cups had been used. One had vodka residue in it and the other was visibly dirty. The bathtub drains incredibly slowly, which I imagine means the drain is full of hair. The ice machine on the third floor, where I'm located, is broken.I tried to order food in the restaurant for lunch, but gave up and went back to my room after waiting 15 minutes without anyone coming over to my table. On the plus side, room service was fast, and hotel staff has been friendly. The views are beautiful and the pools look nice.*Edited with more info:The building I was in also had plumbing problems, which the hotel knew about. My sink would occasionally fill up with dirty water from the drain, out of nowhere. Disgusting. I mentioned it at checkout, and it sounds like the hotel knows about the issue, which makes me wonder why they’re putting people in these rooms. Also, an access panel to the plumbing just fell off my wall, leaving a gaping hole.
