The Whining Pig Desert Ridge - Phoenix

This is a fantastic hidden gem at Desert Ridge. I've visited several times and have always left satisfied. There’s always something new to sample! The focus here is on beer and wine, but if you’re looking for cocktails, you’ll find them in the speakeasy. They also offer classic board games and a chalkboard for entertainment. We'll definitely be returning!

I cannot recommend this place. It feels more like a bar serving pub food than a proper restaurant. We ordered a $14 charcuterie board, and it seemed like it came straight from the grocery store—dried apricots and whole walnuts that looked like they were purchased at Costco. I had a panini with chips, which turned out to be Ruffles dumped into a small bowl. We ended up spending $40 during happy hour for food that was really disappointing in quality.

The service was a bit slow, but I enjoyed the two beers I ordered. There is a great selection to choose from, and the drinks were still very good.

I was searching for the speakeasy but ended up just sitting on a barstool.

I don't drink, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this restaurant. At Desert Ridge, there's a spot tucked away at the back down the hall, and it's quite unique. I highly recommend visiting this place. It has a great vibe and an extensive selection of drinks. It's definitely worth checking out!
