I therefore deliberately avoid too much detail about the food in this review. like most restaurant goers in these days I could have made photos when the teller arrived at the table, but I did not want to distract from the experience that the staff worked so hard to create. I could get over the balances of aromen and textures, the fresh of paddock to plate, but that would also be cliché. Simple...read more
Ripped off and try hard! the service was slightly pretentious and did not really want to know what the customers thought about eating, since each comment came back with a reason why the court was so $50 per head for 2 courses as minimum for lunch and is definitiw over price and the dishes were not good at all we had french wobel suppe the chili mushrooms for entree. suppe was just delicious, and the mushrooms were nothing special trout pork bauch as pornstar, trout was a little fishy and a cold dish so not one for a cold canberra day!
I recently had the pleasure of pretty much spending an entire day in Podfood, enjoying amazing service and some modern Australian fare. Firstly for lunch I gathered with some fellow food bloggers. It is nestled in Pialligo, surrounded by orchards and nurserys, a position they take full advantage of raiding their neighbours and...read more
Presentation, staff knowledge, and quality was exceptional. Great mood lighting for a dinner occassion. We ordered the duck confit, roasted beetroot and cheese, spiced lamb, fennel salmon, rock salt bakes potatoes, and salted peanut mousse. Only criticism would be the lamb and duck could be served hotter. Overall, great quality food sources from local produce.
Oh my goodness, what an amazing meal! We had the five course degustation and loved every flavour. The duck, especially, was to die for. Service was excellent. All round a great evening.
