Trattoria Alla Bona - PIAZZA AL SERCHIO

Nice restaurant near the Anfiteatro square, good food, decent service. The initiative to use only compostable materials for cutlery, plates and glasses is very commendable even if cutlery made like this is not so convenient for cutting. All in all a good experience.

Ottima cucina Toscana, ingredienti locali e attenzione all'impatto ambientale. Prezzi nella media. Da provare.

Vicinissimo a Via Fillungo (quindi comodo da raggiungere se si fanno due passi in centro x lo shopping natalizio Il personale ci accoglie con estrema gentilezza e ci spiega la filosofia del ristorante (piatti rigorosamente legati alla tradizione toscana, prodotti a km zero o quasi e filosofia green che non guasta, anzi da un senso di ottimismo! Buonissima la pappa al pomodoro che ci è stata offerta come benvenuto, spettacolari i tagliolini al tartufo!! Torneremo x provare il tagliere al tartufo che hanno servito al tavolo accanto!!!

Excellent service from attentive staff, but the overall experience was average. We had some very good ravioli and beef and pepper stew, plus a good bread soup appetiser. However, the other pasta dishes were lukewarm and the vegetable side dishes not great. One side dish in particular seemed to be just chickpeas with some oil. All this would be fine, but to serve everything with single use cutlery on cornstarch plates, just doesn't make sense for a restaurant charging premium prices. Like other reviewers, I doubt the environmental credentials of this practice, although I was pleased to see them serving free tap water!
