State Main - Pickering

I stopped by on Saturday evening to dine in with my wife and daughter and we saw that there were booths available and we asked to be seated in one but we were told that we can not so we got seated at a table which was close to the main door. The problem with that is every time someone comes in or goes out, you get hit with the outside cold and I have small kids. We asked if it is possible to close one of the doors or be seated in another area and we were told no. Less than 5 mins a group of guys came and they were seated at one of the empty booths. The table next to us who were complaining of the same issue just got up and seated themselves at the other available booth. I don't really know why we were denied a different seating but it was not a pleasurable experience as my daughter was cold and you fell the cold draft every time the door opened.

If I could give this place a zero I would. For the cost of what you are paying the food is not worth it anymore. I have been to this place a couple of times and it has gone downhill. Ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Nashville Hot. The chicken was burnt and the Nashville hot was more like Nashville NOT. The sandwich has absolutely no spice at all. The Brussel sprouts were not cooked through. We decided to skip dessert and just go home. I think the only good thing about this place was the server. He was really nice. Other than that I am sure that you can find a better place to go and spend your money.

Nice place with friendly helpfull staff. Food quality was great. Of course a glass of wine at 16$ glass is challenging .

Great food. I wish portion sizes were bigger. Service was amazing too.

Love the Cajun chicken. Absolutely tasty. Only suggestion is to need a larger menu selection. It was tough finding what’s good.
