You can choose the size of your boil, as well as the level of spiciness. The seafood is cooked to perfection and is always fresh. The spices and seasonings are flavorful, but not overpowering. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The service at Jay's Crab Boil Oyster Bar is friendly and attentive. The staff is happy to help you choose the right boil for your taste, and they are always willing to answer any questions you have.We truly enjoyed the hush puppies and Jays boil spices with the seafood.
My family I love Jay's Crab Boil Oyster Bar we come often enough to notice our food tonight are luck of seasoning, the crab legs are tiny most of it no meat inside. The fried Calamari is good, but I'm hoping they have more different sauce to dip on like sweet chili or mayonnaise with Spicy sauce. The seat we sat on is dirty with food still on it. I hate not to come dine in again but I will try one more time to see if everything change for the better like it used to be before.
My first time coming here and I ordered a $20 fried fish po boy, and a $75 combo. First of all, they forgot half of my meal. So I call them, they say they’ll make it fresh, so i make the 20 minute drive one way, back to Jays. Then, they hand me MY OLD, COLD FOOD THEY FORGOT ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE! i’ve worked in food for 3 years and i couldn’t imagine making someone drive 20 minutes one way without offering a refund or MAKING the fresh food! I had to get a little Karenish and I asked for a full refund and FRESH food.
The wait staff was super nice, the food was delicious ?, (try the hush puppies) and the live music was awesome! Listening to Imber Solis on the patio while we dined just elevated an already great experience!Kid-friendliness: Nice kids menu, our 10 year old was very happy!
We were one of eight customers in the entire restaurant (aka, red flag). The hostess wasn’t sure where to sit us in a empty restaurant? I ordered the crab cakes. They were light, fried, and still defrosting in the middle as I bit into the iced cold center lump of meat. The food was mediocre to terrible. We won’t be returning.
