Feedback gevenBig experience there 16 of us together for early Thanksgiving and that was a great option. We sat in about 45 minutes, which for 16 people at 1:00 on a Sunday thought I was great. Everyone enjoyed and the fried turkey was from this world.
I went in, and I told the 2 hostess' I would like to make a to go order! They informed that you could not do that in person, and I would need to call my order in or make it online! I didn't have a problem with that so I asked for a menu. After I decided I figured I would put the order in online, but paying cash when I picked my order up was not an option! I didn't have my card so I couldn't do it that way. I was frustrated because, here I am walking around this shop with a menu and my phone for 10 min already! I'm trying to place an order that could have been taken when I walked in the door! I then proceeded to try and call my order in, but that evening Cracker Barrel in Powdersville decided they didn't have to answer the phone! So I tried a few more times, by few I mean 6, and they still didn't answer the phone! The sad part was they were not even busy! I saw more of them standing around than I did doing anything else! This frustrated me so bad that I just left! I will not ever go back there again in my life! It was a hassle, very inconvenient, and a complete waste of my time! I wasted 30 minutes in that place, and I didn't even get to place an order! No, I didn't say anything to the hostess' about the situation! I shouldn't have had to! This is unprofessional and flat out ridiculous that you can't even make a to go order in person! Tell me what the difference is in that and over the phone?! I love Cracker Barrel, but this experience really gave me a bad opinion of them!
Was busy when we were there but not as busy as they can be. Wanted the country fried turkey but they were out. They need to plan better. Service was fine, not great.
Our server Ashlyn was awesome. Veggie plate and Grandad's Fried breakfast were lovely.
I opted for the roast beef plate, accompanied by fried okra and a side of turnip greens. The beef was juicy and tender, while the turnip greens were quite tasty. The fried okra was perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of seasoning. The baked potato was loaded with bacon, cheese, sour cream, and chives—it looked amazing, and my brother-in-law said it was delicious.
