We always order some type of noodle soup. If I'm grading on food alone, Cafe Bích Nga has been the best so far. Their soup broth has good flavor and most importantly the soup has depth (which means they use more bones for base soup than other additives). Their soups are oilier than most, which also suggests that they use more bones. Different herbs/greens are paired with different soups. Bích Nga has been the only restaurant in the local area that gave shredded cabbage for the Bun Bo Hue. They didn't give shredded banana leaf, but did offer shredded water spinach instead. Most other places just give you bean sprouts and basil and call it a day. Everything was actually very good, but each bowl is a whopping $16!! (I know it's post-Covid but still) That is pretty pricey considering it's a no frills restaurant in a no frills neighborhood.
I love the food here, it's quiet and very laid back. I will say the service is VERY a slow and you will be waiting a while for your food, so please be patient and kind with everyone. The menu is often limited or out, but the pho, bun bo hue, bun rieu, lemonade, com tam, banh canh are my favorites. Everything is so good- It reminds me of Ma's home cooking so I always come when I can.
Possibly the richest pho I've tried so far in Florida! Pho comes with brisket, flank, tripe and meatballs. Pho also has cilantro and onion in it. The broth is super rich in flavor. I can definitely taste all the spices in the broth. They fill it to the brim. I asked for some lime and extra cilantro for my pho. As for noodles they use thin chopped up rice noodles. The bowl is also a decent size and for $2 more they have a larger bowl! Wifey got the beef stew. Also filled to the brim. Meat is super tender. Broth tastes delicious, very flavorful with beef. The restaurant itself is a little run down in the inside. Old colors, lighting and furniture. Guy working in the front was kind and helpful. We had to wait a long time for the food but it came out excellent! Overall we really enjoyed the food.
Been wanting to try this place out, and we finally did. Not gonna lie, this place a has a lot of potential. W got here around 7:30ish PM and didn't get our food till 8:20pm. So we were expecting fresh good food if it takes that long. As we were waiting i looked around the restaurant and it definitely needs a lot of work. Those curtains gotta go. The restaurant needs better and inviting color so it doesn't feel suffocating inside. Roof needs to be checked and there seems to be a leakage. Food came in and got a massive bowl of Pho for my husband and Beef stew for myself. Food was really good tbh. besides my bowl having too much soup, meat was tender, broth was good, everything tasted fresh, and noodles were cooked to perfection. My husband's pho was also really good. portion was great, lots of meat noodles..except the noodles were cut. The young lad that was working there was very nice. He was attentive and provided great service. Like what i said, this place has a lot of potential, considering the past reviews. I would like to see this restaurant strive for the best again!
I have never had bad food here. If you like Vietnamese food, this place is worth a try. Food is very authentic, especially different type of soups.
