Empire Buffet - Pinetop-Lakeside

This is an Asian buffet in a small city in Arizona. I usually do not go to a sub-$10/person buffet looking for great service or even great food. If the food is quite fresh and the premises are not a fortress for crumbs, it is about what you can expect. And the food was quite fresh, and the place was relatively clean. It is not as if they could go to a local sustainable farmer market in the middle of winter. So I have to give the place a qualified thumb.

Update 2/5/2019. It was stopped picking up. 5.75lb including Hibachi, 6.75 lb sushi. With Safeway Coupon the total amount was around 8.00 with tax for hibachi and suahi. (Tip extra). The food shown in the takeout box was cooked a little over a pound and was around 6.00 before the voucher. Due to food allergies, I have very limited take-out options on the mountain and never get fast food. I brought out my own fresh vegetables, meat and noodles from hibachi and quickly get! Photos that are not in a take-out box are from previous visits. For the record Sharkeys in the chalet is my favorite for sushi in the area, but Empire has better than most buffets. Previous review. Love it! Young children eat free. (Matt three and below) Great Hibachi, fresh food at the buffet. Sushi not bad for buffet style. Appropriately expensive. Normally 15% discount on the back of a safeway document. The only cone for me is that drinks (sodas, tea etc.) are not included in the price of the buffet.

Eating was good, I tried to have at least one bite of everything and just liked everything. Nothing of it was bad. Especially the back cancer, very good. The place is clean and spacious. The staff is nice, but could be more interactive.

It is usually very good. Our family goes quite often. It is definitely the best buffet on the mountain. One very very good perk is the staff. They are professional, kind, and very good at their job. The food is buffet so you know sometimes you go at the wrong time, but they are great about trying to get new stuff out all the time. Their Sushi is limited, but good.
