No one even looked our way, no one told us it would be just a few minutes or even 30 minutes , we were amazed that no one even glanced our way…nothing. We eventually just got up and left. Busy? Yes which is a sign of good food.. There were two open tables that I could see. But no one even looked at us at all..strange way to run a small family restaurant. After reading other low reviews this isn’t uncommon. The place has great reviews as I can see, but we probably won’t go back for another try due non inviting atmosphere and other similar reviews addressing same issue.
Ok so I had the tower of waffle, a biscuit with sausage gravy and the braised brisket. The waffles were really tasty but I was disappointed in the size and cost of the dish (looked different than the menu pictures). The biscuit was ok but the sausage gravy to me was subpar in flavor and bits. The brisket was tasty but again didn't say to me I'd make another trip back for it. The staff was great, the ambience was ok the place was small and parking took a few minutes. They did however have a huge Christmas stripper pole in the middle of the place.Parking: This place is small, they have a parklet which takes up parking spots. Being a small place there can be a line after you wait for parking, I recommend walking or biking in.
Superb food from this quaint and cozy restaurant. You are going to love their Ube Pancakes! This is the ube taste I’ve been searching for far and wide. A taste only few have been able to satisfy. I applaud the place for such delicious tasting ube pancakes. I also got the Huevos Rancheros and wow so flavorful and tasty! The service was wonderful, our waitress had all smiles and friendly attitude. It was refreshing. Absolutely my new favorite place for breakfast! I can’t wait to try more off the menu.
We go regularly to Sue's Place for breakfast and occasionally for lunch. The food is consistently delicious, generous, and artfully plated! Sue has culinary training and it shows!. Her family helps out, and it is a friendly place where people chat with each other! C.
Tried this awesome spot out with my bestie. Service was very prompt friendly. They serve a great menu of mostly breakfast foods, many with Filipino flair. We both got the adobo breakfast bowl with a side of vinegar, longanisa toast. Everything was super delicious! The meat for the bowl was super crispy, thick and a generous portion. We had our bowls made with garlic fried rice and scrambled eggs. Super well seasoned, not at all like normal American breakfast spots (usually season-less). It also came with some pickles- love! Super yum is all I can say to describe the food. I can't wait to go back and try more!
