Il Gufo Bistrot_wine - Pisa

SCANDALOUSLY SMALL PORTION. The menu was very limited. We wanted to avoid meat which left us with only 3 options already. But when we requested them, two of the three items were not available. They didn't mention anything about the unavailability when offering us the menu. We went for the Spaghetti which took them 30 minutes to prepare. And when it finally arrived we were astounded by the portion size it was ridiculously small! I won't make any attempt to hide my disgust if a restaurant serves such miniature portions that forces diners to search for more food immediately after coming out, because it wasn't sufficient even for a 7 year old child there is some brazen deception going on that needs to be called out. Food is delicious. Wine is so good too. Staffs are so sweet. I want them to recommend the wine and they gave me a really good wine because I really don’t understand which one is the best and I don’t know how to describe it, but the atmosphere was really good. Il Gufo is strategically situated just a 4-minute walk from Pisa train station, en route to the iconic Pisa Tower and adjacent to Corso Italia. The dishes at Il Gufo, including the octopus, tiger prawns, seppie, and desserts, impressed us with their freshness, authenticity, and exceptional flavors. Each bite was a testament to the culinary expertise and dedication to quality. Beyond the delectable taste, the presentation of the dishes added another layer to the dining experience. The thoughtful arrangement on the plates showcased a meticulous attention to detail, enhancing both the visual and gastronomic aspects of our meal. This was definitely one of the best spaces I visited in Pisa. From the service to the food, my trip couldn't have ended in a better way.
