Burro E Acciughe and Mani'omio, a far more polished and formal restaurant, share outdoor table space in a not obvious way, such that we ended up here thinking we were sitting down to eat at the other (and apparently, this is a constant problem! . However, we stayed, both because the menu (a relatively short list of primi and secundi was easier to grok, and because the waitress was wise enough to offer us Aperol spritzes (theirs are particularly good , which came with a fun plank of appetizer nibbles that showed us the food was going to be good. I did their ravioli, and my wife did their gnocchi and I liked both, though my wife decided she had really wanted something lighter (so I got to eat a bunch of hers too! . Like many of the more mom and pop restaurants in Pisa, they'll take a credit card, but it's sort of heroic for them, so you'll make them happy if you pay cash. And on the scale of Pisa restaurants, you won't pay that much it was very reasonable. I expect we'll be there for another spritz at some point before we head home!
In a quiet and beautiful spot in central Pisa. We had aperitivo with both cocktails and food being excellent and reasonably priced. The owners are really friendly and there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere
One evening we were looking to have a glass of wine and came across this place. Very friendly, good service, and outstanding appetizers on the house! We were even treated to raw oysters! I was so delighted I forgot to take a photo. Seating is primarily outside.
