Feedback gevenI grew up late in a night (10 o'clock). they welcomed me without problems. the large fire pit in the middle of the dining room and the clean plates from the other diners suggest that the grilled meats are excellent here. because of the late hour, my energy level and lack of cash (no credit cards accepted), I skipped on the grill. I had the fantastic tasty, and lawfully famous, lardo di collonata. get this and share it with a friend when they come it is rich for just one person. the waiter brought me a free platelet of stunning fresh and tasty ricotta cheese that was absolutely perfect with the lardo. the testarolo pontremolese is an excellent traditional dish. I only had a few times this court, but from my experience they get it here. the crepe-like pasta is at this place a real pleasure. the house wine is in order, and quite a lot they would expect. but if you don't give yourself, go with the list. very friendly staff. I'm looking forward to trying the grill next time.
Warm, comfortable place with really incredible steak. some of the best I had in the toskana. service is also good. the price when looking at the kitchen is very good. definitely recommend.

Large steaks cooked on an open wood grill. fantastic quality and good service. we ordered the big steaks and the discs they all share. 3kgs high quality local meat. the lardo is a must!
Great ambiance. Sat at a table right next to the wood burning grill. A bit warm for me sitting that close. But, what a view of the action! What an experience to watch the firewood burn up top and the hot wood coals drop off...and roll under the grill grate to cook from beneath. The cured meats were excellent. And the 80 oz. steak was just delicious. I prefer my meat rare but, because of the thickness of it... there was something from everyone at the table for whichever temp you prefer your meat cooked. Also sampled the lamb chops. I'm not one for lamb but, this made a convert of me. And really nice wine list too! I would definitely return to this place the next time I'm in Pisa.
