Feedback gevenFirst room we checked into, the entire room had wet carpet had to be relocated. Could have a better selection of appetizers during the managers night or happy hour events. AC/heater for the bedroom and living room areas should be on separate thermostats.
Heather at the bar was fantastic- great suggestion on the food, great conversation and great attitude. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Recommend this
There are multiple issues. Microwave is too old and taking 30min to heat the food. Water dripping continuously from kitchen sink. Lot of noise from A/c unit. Washroom Door knob is not working. Very unhappy with the stay.
I cannot say enough about the customer service at the property. The staff bent over backwards to make sure any and all of my needs were met. I witnessed this with other guests as well. This started at the front desk, continued with the breakfast staff and the housekeepers.My room was clean and while the property could use some updating here and there, my room was modern enough. The air conditioner works on a sensor and resets itself to 72 when no motion is detected after a period of time. This was frustrating, as it took me a couple of days to figure this out. I woke up and it was warmer than I normally like to keep my room.If the fitness center is important to you, they had some basic things in there but nothing for like a hardcore workout. There is a peloton but you have to have your own account to access any of the peloton features. There was also a funny smell in the fitness room, like maybe a wet smell, if that makes sense.The pool was okay but the hot tub wasn’t very hot. I take hotter baths than the hot tub temp. The jets were also kind of crazy. They were splashing water everywhere more than they were bubbling the water. They were uncomfortable to even sit near, while they were on.They offer a laundry room, which was really nice. However, they could use updated and larger washer/dryers. Theirs washed okay and the dryers got pretty hot and got my clothes nice and dry. So no major complaints.The complementary breakfast was great. The staff did a great job to constantly keep it freshened up and you always had the option to order freshly made food at the omelet/pancake station. As with the rest of the staff, the staff at breakfast were so friendly and helpful. They kept the area clean and would frequently clear dirty dishes from the tables.I’ve stayed at a few Embassy Suite properties and they have really taken a hit with covid. The breakfast areas were dirty, the food wasn’t very good and staff was just okay. This property was like the pre-covid Embassy Suites I remember. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the property to others.Noteworthy details: Incredible staff, clean and the property felt safe. Any and all food deliveries I received got there within 45 mins and Rutgers was close enough that several cute restaurants, bars and coffee places were closeby.
Rooms were stinky and dusty. As soon as you walk in you can smell the room being old and rusty. The dust made me sneeze through out my stay. I wouldn’t recommend staying in this place.Rooms: Dirty smelly rooms
