The Rutgers Club - Piscataway

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The staff was excellent, and I'm really happy they've reopened.

I’ve enjoyed meals at Rutgers Club from their à la carte lunch menu to their all-you-can-eat lunch options, as well as attending several public and private events. While some might have mixed opinions about dining at Rutgers, I genuinely believe they can deliver some impressive gourmet dishes. Most of the items I’ve sampled from their menu have been delightful, and I would certainly go back for more. Their offerings range from empanadas and lobster mac and cheese to full carving stations and build-your-own taco stations. Personally, I love their all-you-can-eat lunch on Thursdays, which is around $15 per person. The food quality is excellent, the portion sizes are generous, and there’s a great variety of choices. Occasionally, I’ve found the desserts to be hit or miss, but recently they have really nailed the textures and sweetness levels. I would probably visit more often if membership wasn't a requirement, but I hope they consider changing this in the future. If you haven’t been to Rutgers Club, I highly recommend giving it a try!

I was hoping to see a few more people attending Oktoberfest.

The restaurant offers excellent options for Hispanic cuisine, along with a variety of pizzas to choose from. They also serve fresh salads and vegetables. However, the lines for the freshly prepared hot food can be quite long.

This restaurant is amazing! Despite the challenges they encountered during the pandemic, the bartender Woody makes an incredible old fashioned. I've also heard wonderful things about the cosmopolitan! The food is consistently fresh and served at just the right temperature—hot for the entrees and cold for the salads. I can't say enough good things about the staff, the food, and the lovely atmosphere!
