Tasty, well prepared and presented food from around the Mediterranean. Great service, terrific ambience and a peek of the ocean. Outside patio would be the place to be on a warm afternoon. Looking forward to many meals there and I hope to try the other location in San Luis Obispo sometime
I ordered takeaway and was impressed with how beautiful the restaurant looked. It reminded me of being in Morocco. The server was warm and welcoming and even gave me Moroccan mint tea while I waited for my orders. I ordered the Spicy Vegan Rarghifat and the Vegetarian Sampler (minus the feta cheese). Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The rarghifat was very flavourful, although very spicy. The dolmas were huge and filling, the bread and hummus divine. Next time, I will definitely dine in here! Updated from previous review on 2021-07-21
This place serves amazing Moroccan dishes. The restaurant is not all vegan but there a few vegan items on the menu. We tried the Couscous Royale as an entree, Spicy Vegan Rarghifat, and Falafel Fingers with Hummus. The portions are HUGE so although the price is high, each dish on the menu can be eaten by 2 people easy. Plus the entree comes with a bowl of lentil soup and bread. We were 2 people and ordered an entree and 2 appetizers. We could not eat them all and brought a lot of it home. We could easily eat our leftovers for another meal. We also order the Moroccan tea. A must if you want to experience another culture. The tea is hot sweet mint tea but it is unlike any mint tea I have tried. It is hard to describe it but a reviewer in Yelp said it is like the taste of Wrigley Mint Gum. This is a compliment and not a critique. I thought the reviewer was funny but it is right on. It is a good mint tea that is served in a beautiful pot and small glass. I like it and finished it. The food is all delicious and unique. It was one of the best meals I had and unlike others. The restaurant is huge and was decorated nicely in Moroccan way. The music was really nice Moroccan music. We really enjoyed it. The location is close to the beach. If the weather is nice to sit in the patio, I recommend the patio seating. There is a bit of ocean can be seen from the patio or the inside booth near the patio. It is easy to find this restaurant due to the bright blue trims all over which is hard to miss. To find the entrance to the restaurant from the parking lot(a private parking lot) was not easy. Because the entrance is on the street side and is not obvious when we parked in the lot. It seems that a sign at the parking lot to direct to the entrance would be great.
