Unfortunately, they were out of more than half of the items on their breakfast menu. I decided to try the Frittata Sandwich, but what I received didn’t quite match what was described on the menu—I got lettuce instead of potato. The service was acceptable, but it was slower than I expected for a kitchen counter setup. Given my experiences so far at Bluebird, which have been mediocre to poor, I probably won’t be returning.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The coffee was watery, and the staff appeared too occupied to give us proper attention. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress either; the eggs were rubbery, and the frittata lacked flavor. I also asked for the key to the bathroom, but an employee went in before I had the chance to use it. Overall, we left feeling unsatisfied and unhappy.
Bluebird Kitchen is a delightful deli-style cafe that serves high-quality, made-from-scratch breakfast options. Their menu features a range of delicious choices, including oatmeal, pastries, egg sandwiches, and a gluten-free hash. Although we found the hash to be a bit saltier than we anticipated during our recent visit, our family members who regularly dine here assured us that this isn’t usually the case. Considering the overall quality and emphasis on fresh ingredients, I’m inclined to view it as a one-time issue. If you’re seeking a tasty and quick breakfast spot, Bluebird Kitchen is certainly worth checking out.
I’ve had my eye on this place for a while and heard great things. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a strawberry chocolate muffin. My total was about $7.75. My muffin was amazing and the bagel had a nice flavor but the consistency was definitely more of a pretzel than anything. The quality or portions could align a bit better for the price. The customer service was great as well. Kate took really good care of me and answered all my questions. I arrived between lunch and breakfast, approximately at 10:30am so the menu was a bit limited. There were tasty looking premade salads, soups, parfait bowls and pastries available. Not to mention organic cold pressed juices. I’d definitely come back for that muffin and to try some other items. This is more of a grab and go rather than sit down and enjoy kind of dining experience.
Today I found a caterpillar(? in the BOTTOM of my salad after I was 2/3s the way through. They refunded my money, but nothing can undo the damage of finding that in your salad. The attendant noted that “sometimes that happens with organic greens” which made it sound like this may not have been the first time. I always loved Bluebird before, but I can’t do it again after that. I feel physically sick from it still.
