Posted hours say they close at 9:30. At 9:05, door locked and there were still employees in the building. They wouldn't open the door or serve when it was knocked upon. They already close way earlier than everything else in the neighborhood. At this point let's just tell them to leave. We don't want them here.
No more tables.... It looks bad... Covid is not that bad... They could put a few in.. lolParking: BadWheelchair accessibility: They need to have this, so do a lot of other places on the Southside
I’ve been coming to this place since they had a Pac-Man Machine that took Quarters to play, it’s always been a go to spot! However the last 2 times I kinda wish I didn’t. I’m giving yinz 4 stars because I’ve had waaaaay more positive than negative experiences here and I really hope you guys can turn this place around because right now it’s a mess. When I walked in a huge cloud of dark smoke slapped me in the face, it seems so dark and off putting on the inside to someone who hasn’t been there before (or has). I miss the tables and chairs I hope you guys remodel. I understand not wanting to cater to dine-in customers again, but at least make the walk in area inviting. The first thing I read when I walk into a restaurant shouldn’t be a “THERE ARE NO RESTROOMS FOR CUSTOMERS” sign on the front door. I included 2 photos of overcooked meat I took out of my sandwich, it was like swallowing sandpaper, I’m not tryna be mean but the consistency was not good. Wish you all luck in the new year! God bless.
I've never been here before, was walking by and figured I'd try it out, but this place is an absolute disgrace to local Pittsburgh food and gyro shops in general, I'll never stop in again.Cash only, lucky I had a 20 on me, first sign I should have walked away.I noticed I was the only one in there at 9pm during the busy times on south side, second sign I should have walked out.Gyros are incredibly tiny, burnt meat taste, chewy in areas, and their fry portions are a joke. Not to mention, they had old fries sitting in the fryer already cooked, and for my order dude just drops some already cooked fries for 30 seconds and serves them. Very cool my guy. Love these super hard and stale re-fried fries. And while I'm here, they use some off brand ketchup packets, not using Heinz ketchup in Pittsburgh is a huge no-noYou being a family owned business does not change anything or get sympathy from me, you are charging me for a product, and your product is simply, not very good. Yes snarky owner, that means you as you type your cute personalized reply, born and raised here, 30 years. Yes you've been here for 50 years, and if this is what your customer base likes then I guess it's just not for me.Any other disappointed gyro fans read this!!!!! Go check out Shah's over in Oakland, their gyros are incredible, 50c cheaper, and three times the size and meat. And their fry portions are also much larger. An absolute night and day experience.Edit: And with an attitude like that, you are practically asking me to bad mouth your business when it's brought up in conversation. But oh right you don't care, because you guys are just soo legendary to the area. Lol
