Mitchell's Fish Market - Pittsburgh

We made an excellent choice with Mitchell's. Easy parking. The wait staffer was excellent, I wish I could recall her name. Very helpful and genuine, never intrusive but kept the drinks filled, etc. The menu was plentiful, with some specials. We all ordered our favorite seafood, and all of us were truly delighted with our meals. Fresh, interesting dishes, beautifully presented. Scallops, salmon, shrimp, fresh veggies, delicious broth, risotto, and we even had carrot cake and key lime pie. My coffee was delicious too. We are old friends who have not been together, and we caught up without feeling rushed. A very nice evening that I'd like to repeat!

Mitchell's Fish Market is one of our favorite restaurants for fish/seafood meals. The atmosphere is lovely and tasteful and the service is always great. I ordered the special full course meal that included soup or salad, two lobster tails with mashed red skin potatoes and asparagus. This special also included choice of dessert. The lobster tails were delicious and cooked perfectly. The rest of the meal was outstanding.

Our dining experience was nice. The kitchen was backed up so we had to wait 30 minutes before our meal came. I'm sure this is not a common happening. We went on a Saturday night and it's a usually busy night for all restaurants. Happy with our meal very good and our server was very nice and attentive.

Came for a late lunch with my mom, and it turned out to be a better experience than I was expecting. Our server Eugene was very animated and attentive. We shared the spinach artichoke dip which was yummy. I had the crab cake lunch special. The crab cake was good and had a decent amount of crab. My mom had the lunch fish and chips which was a very generous portion. We shared the key lime pie which was the most underwhelming part of the meal.

My wife and I had a nice dinner. We went there for her birthday. We started off with salads. My wife ordered the house salad, and I ordered the wedge. The salads were nice size and good, although we thought they were both a bit high priced. We both had chicken parmesana and the chicken was tender and moist. The side of pasta was good, although I thought the marinara sauce was average. They offered my wife a free piece of cake for her birthday. They gave us a choice of three desserts, but we offered to pay the up-charge and ordered their delicious carrot cake. Our server, Anna, was very cheerful, attentive, and knowledgable about the menu options. It was not very crowded, so the noise level was low.
