The Modern Cafe - Pittsburgh

I had lunch at this restaurant for the first time. The bar food was really good! The food was served quickly. The Reuben sandwich was excellent and I was happy that they had tater tots as a side option (which is always my first choice when available). They also had a great selection of beers. Overall, it's a very nice place located on the NorthSide!

We absolutely adore this charming historical restaurant! They always have an excellent selection of beer on tap. The service can sometimes be inconsistent, but that seems to be a common issue with many places due to staffing shortages. The food is consistently delicious, thanks to their talented chef who is always friendly. It's the perfect spot for comforting and well-prepared dishes. We make sure to stop by a few times a month after work, and we are never let down!

This is a classic American bar and grille with a Happy Hour offering half-off drafts and a wide selection of beers in cans and bottles. The interior is very clean, with some outdoor seating available. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 because my order was messed up, but the burger I received was delicious. The fries were just okay, probably frozen. The service was excellent and they even gave me the correct burger to go, despite my protests. I highly recommend this place. Everyone makes mistakes, so I'm willing to give it another shot and maybe try one of their sandwiches next time.

Modern Cafe is the perfect little neighborhood bar and grill. This was our first visit. The food was good, the restaurant was clean but most importantly, the staff was excellent! Friendly and accommodating. We will be back soon!

Very good food, although the parking can be tough. It's certainly possible there is parking available nearby that I am not aware of. They have a full bar here, and decently priced drinks. I had a Greek steak hoagie. Which was very good. Also tasted the vegetarian Greek wrap, surprisingly good as well. Only disappointment is all sides must be purchased separately. We will definitely be back.
