Chef King gives you what you want, good Chinese, at a great price. It's the cheaper lunch combo type Chinese food. Similar to what you might get at the food court at a mall. Their portion sizes are fair to large and they have been around a long time in this area. That's proof enough right there that they haven't gone out of business in a very selective community that their food is good! For whatever reason, people in Rochester are obsessed with new chains when they come to the area and while they might not last long, they take away from more established restaurants in the area. Chef King is able to continue to survive when these newer places come to the area because they have a loyal following of customers. Would recommend if you're in the area and hungry for Chinese! Unrelated to the food, they at least had a really cool plexiglass setup to make customers feel safe during the pandemic. Not sure if it's still in place or not. One last thing you may want to know, there's no seating here. It's strictly a carry out place.
This is my favorite Chinese food place in all of Rochester. Five stars all the way. Also the best wonton soup I've had on the east coast.
Delicious, Fast and consistent high quality food. I have been a customer for over 10 years.
This restaurant has some serious issues. They often get orders wrong and will change items without informing you, then expect you to pay for the changes. The staff can be short, unfriendly, or even rude during interactions. I would rank this place among the top five worst Chinese restaurants in the city. Their lack of attention to detail is concerning, and I dread to think about the other corners they might cut. I strongly recommend you go somewhere else to save your money and enjoy a meal with your loved ones.
