Ruby Sushi - Plainview

I visit here frequently because I absolutely love everything on the menu. I can confidently say that their Miso Soup is the best I've ever had. I've been enjoying Japanese cuisine since the book "Shōgun" was published in the '80s! Ruby has a more traditional vibe, and the prices are really reasonable. The food is always fresh, making it a great little spot just a stone's throw from Starbucks.

The Winton soup was an ideal way to warm up before yet another potential snowstorm, and the two rolls I tried (Mets and Beijing Duck), both featuring duck, were incredible!

The kids wanted a quick meal, but I was in the mood to take my time, so I decided to stop by Ruby. It was a Saturday night and they were busy with a lot of orders, so we had to wait a bit. I ordered the Sushi Sashimi, and the fish was incredibly fresh. It was so delicious that my children asked to try the tuna roll. To my surprise, they absolutely loved it! I’ll definitely be back and will make sure to call in my order next time.

Beautiful little mother and pop shop sushi restaurant. Fast service and excellent quality overall. I have nothing negative to comment on Ruby. It is a local favorite and I will definitely go back. Ingredients are fresh and they make amazing roles.

I am not certain as to why this place has gotten bad reviews. I have been coming here for years with my family. The quality of food here has gotten better since I first came here. The quality of fish is always very fresh. I have tried many different dishes and they have all been very good. I will continue to come here and I suggest you try it yourself, as well.
