Genghis Grill - Plano

I got there just 12 minutes later, around 8:45 PM (they close at 9). To my surprise, Cody didn’t have a container for the sauce, so he went next door to Jason's Deli, introduced himself to their manager, and got a container from them! Talk about excellent customer service! There were still customers in the restaurant, and I asked Cody if his wok was still hot and if he had any cauliflower rice. He checked and said yes, then asked how many servings I wanted. I said 2½, and his talented cook whipped it up for me in about five minutes. When I asked how much I owed for everything, Cody said it was on the house! I couldn’t believe it! He simply requested that I come back and give them a try again. Absolutely, I will! He saved what could have been a wasted $52 meal from the McKinney location. I am definitely returning and telling everyone about this fantastic experience!

My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at Genghis Grill in Plano, TX. I particularly enjoyed being able to pile my plate high with my favorite proteins and vegetables. The service was excellent, and I ordered the small plate, which turned out to be quite filling.

I visited for dinner and ordered a medium bowl with fried rice, adding steak, vegetables, and sauce. Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing. The steak was overcooked and tough, the rice was burnt and lacked flavor, and the so-called garlic tasted nothing like garlic. I ended up spending $20 on food that I wouldn't even feel comfortable giving to my dog.

The food is still good and one of the best healthy choices around. But Genghis has really let their restaurants deteriorate. And the windows were so tinted that we thought they were out of business. There was only one server working (a Tuesday night) but she was delightful and she checked on us constantly and we got our drinks, food and check promptly.

One of the worst experiences I have had at a Genghis Grill. 2 stars only because the food was fairly fresh. I was seated right away but waited awhile for a server to come take my order while other customers were seated, served drinks, and orders taken before anyone came to my table. My drink was served from over the counter behind me with no ice and my waitress was so inattentive that I had to ask other waitresses for condiments and eventually my check. Will not be coming back.
