Goat Vine Winery - Plano

I had been hesitant to try this restaurant because my husband and I are particular about wine and this restaurant has its own winery, although several levels of wine. As it turned out, I needn't be concerned. The house wine was very good and the food was delicious, service excellent, all in a beautiful restaurant! We will be back!

Food was average. Ambiance was nice but the service was so poor that it detracted from the vibe of the restaurant. Our waiter disappeared and never came back to check on us after we got our food. I waited 15 minutes for salt and pepper and we had to flag down another server to get it and same with getting our check. Another table near us was visibly annoyed too and the view from our table included many dirty glasses and frustrated wait staff. Not an enjoyable evening.

Table too small, on way to bathroom(not great). Server brought water, didn't offer anything else. My wife's first 2 choices on menu, had run out.

Dined here for our anniversary. We were seated on time and then waited over 10 minutes to be acknowledged by anyone several waiters, food runners, the hostess and what I perceived was a manager for front of house did not notice us sitting there gloomily waiting for service. I finally had to speak to the hostess to get a server assigned to us. Took an hour from ordering to receive entrees. I think they pay attention to the food, but there is a disconnect somewhere in the operation. The food was good, presentation was fine, but the effort required to be served spoiled the experience.

The steak was not cooked correctly and was very tough.
