Upon entering the deli, I was hit by a strong smell of cleaning solution—almost overwhelming, reminiscent of a bathroom. It was enough to be slightly irritating to my nose. Admittedly, I arrived at 2:35 PM, just 25 minutes before they closed, so they might have been in a hurry to clean up. (Here’s a tip for management: consider using an odorless cleaning solution and follow the dilution instructions.) Once I got past the smell, the employees were incredibly friendly, welcoming me with warm smiles and offering great service. I ordered the Murphy's French Dip, a brownie, and a large soda for $11.95 before tip, which I thought was reasonable. The sandwich came with a smile, nicely wrapped in deli paper. It was served on a fresh ciabatta roll with Swiss cheese and a decent portion of beef. While it wasn't overly generous, it wasn’t skimpy either. The taste was quite good, even with the lingering cleaning solution odor. The self-service soda fountain with free refills was a nice touch, especially since I’m a big fan of Coke Zero. They mixed it perfectly here—not too light like many places do to save on syrup. As for the decor, it felt generic, like it was pulled from a box, but the deli was exceptionally clean—easily Marine Corps inspection ready. Would I make the trip back? Probably not. But would I be thrilled if Murphy's was located in my office building? Absolutely!
I googled best muffaletta in Plano and got this place. It 's pretty delicious. It was made fresh right in front of me (Dude worked for this sandwich! . Very reasonably priced. I got the pasta salad and that was a little pricey, but it 's in an expensive plastic container. They 're staff was very friendly and the place was clean. Bonus: Look at the ceilings in the lobby.
FYI This is in the bottom of one of the Granite Park buildings on the first floor, right by the parking garage. It's a great little deli with breakfast and lunch options and the food is actually pretty good. I like that they have some unusual things like gyros and can also customize just about anything they make because they make it when you order it. Slightly overpriced, but with gas prices up you would probably spend more in gas to get somewhere anyway!
This is a fantastic spot for a quick meal, and here’s a little secret: the macarons at the cash register are homemade and absolutely worth every penny. The flavors vary, but I’ve never encountered a bad one. My favorites are the green tea and fruity pebbles. They’re twice the size of the ones from 7 Leaves, but roughly the same price!
