That approach might turn potential customers away. Your comments have further reinforced my feelings about my experience. I won’t be returning to your restaurant during my next visit to Dallas. I suggest you focus on improving your service instead of critiquing reviews. My opinion remains unchanged. - Alex Here’s my review: I experienced sloppy service even when the restaurant was nearly empty. The fish was just average, and the ginger tasted like it had been out for quite a while, so I stopped using it to cleanse my palate. My friends and I even timed how long it took for a plate to make a full rotation: it was 10 minutes! Have you considered why the plates are all covered? Maybe you should ask the flies buzzing around. I get that it's a restaurant and some flies are expected, but this was more than I anticipated. On a positive note, the tuna nigiri was quite good—firm with just the right hint of wasabi. Unfortunately, the salmon wasn’t fresh and seemed to have been left out for too long. The highlight of the evening was the sushi chef, who was friendly, chatty, and made great suggestions while the kitchen staff worked discreetly on the cooked dishes. However, most of the rolls available for the all-you-can-eat option felt like variations of a California roll—very easy to identify. I likely won’t consider returning next time I’m in town. While I appreciated the unique concept of conveyor belt sushi, it’s essential to ensure the freshness of the food.
SUSHI ON A CONVEYOR BELT GENIUS!! We had seen sushi conveyor restaurants in CA but had no idea they were here! The girls had a great idea to try a sushi conveyor belt place so we made our way to northwest Plano to try Sushi Envy. We were greeted immediately and the host explained how the sushi a la carts, buffet, and special orders worked, and it was time to start reaching for what we wanted : Every plate is $2, and as you can see from the photo, the 4 of us put away a lot of plates! It's really fun to eat this way to pick what comes by based on how it looks and discover new tastes. We NEVER would have ordered the variety of sushi we tried tonight at a regular sushi bar. It would have been $150 easily, with all the different kinds of rolls we tried. Spicy tuna rolls were not blazingly spicy, but were nicely seasoned. Reverse California rolls are impeccably fresh. Some come draped in shrimp, others in salmon or Krab, some with a spot of Sriracha, some with a kiss of sweet Mayo. Half the fun is seeing what variety comes next! We truly enjoyed our conveyor sushi experience and will definitely recommend this place to our friends and Yelpers!!
The chef and staff were incredibly friendly! They created a fun atmosphere for us and explained that all the sauces are made in-house, along with their homemade ginger. Everything was delicious! We will definitely return.
Their sushi here are basically all California rolls with different fish/sauce on top. There wasn 't a big variety of flavors. The only one that stood out to me was the torch roll. Their roasted salmon nigiri was good too.. but a little too burnt. Also, what disappointed me the most was that they didn 't have a good tuna roll. Their spicy tuna does NOT look or taste like spicy tuna. *See the pic I posted* It looked like beat up generic tuna with pepper seeds to spice it up. I know how to make spicy tuna... and whatever they serve is NOT spicy tuna. Ugh. I 'm from the West Coast and the lower quality sushi conveyor belts over there are way better than this one. That 's sad. I only give it 2 stars instead of 1 because it 's the only sushi conveyor belt in this area. So it 's better than not having one.
This might, singlehandedly, be the weirdest food experience I've ever had. The management has no idea what's going on. Nothing is labeled. There's 24 roll options but only 7 on the conveyer. Pricing is confusing. Food is okay, but I have NO idea what I'm eating. First time we got a refill was when we asked for the check at end of meal. Rolls are all rice. And everything on the belt had hot sauce. Food safety concerns with how ginger is served. Don't know who's hands have touched the tongs. This place is trying hard to be kura. Not working. At all. Don't waste your time.
