TGI FRIDAYS - Plano (Preston Rd)

Normally love the Pecan crusted chicken salad but this time the chicken seemed old and dried out. Husband enjoyed his French dip sandwich.

When we got there, they advised us they don't take online reservations. Luckily, the place was empty so we didn't need one.

I made a reservation for Christmas at 8 PM. I even got a text message and confirmed it. When we got to the restaurant, I was told my reservation was invalid because they don't really take online reservations and it would be a 1.5 wait. They food and dining experience at that place isn't that good o begin with. Don't fall for the scam of thinking they will respect your reservation or provide you any sort of positive customer service. Even better.... there was A LOT of empty tables there.

The bartender was super nice—good service there. But when we originally showed up at the door and said we had Open Table reservation, the host said “I don’t know why that shows on the app as you can have reservations for here—we don’t honor those.” Strange. But, oh well, at least we had good service at the bar. We thank him much since we know a shift on a holiday is never easy.

My wife and I are semi-regulars at the Fridays since we moved into the neighborhood two years ago. We like the food and waitstaff seems to be on top of the work that have in front of them. Our only issue is with the speed of the kitchen. The food is good and always up to the standards that Fridays sets for itself...
