The Gogi - Plano

This restaurant is a wonderful spot for authentic Korean cuisine! We visited for the first time during a busy dinner rush, but the staff were still very patient, guiding us on how to wrap the meat in lettuce and create delicious bite-sized rib and veggie wraps. The ambiance was pleasant, and the portion sizes were generous. We are certainly adding this restaurant to our list of favorites!

I really enjoy their menu, as it features dishes that I used to have to drive all the way to Carrollton to find. However, today I made the mistake of ordering the potbelly and squid pot. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a sugary, thick, and condensed mixture, especially after the heat was turned off. I had to scoop out the sugary paste with rice before I could eat it. Surprisingly, my child loved it. I had expected a hot pot dish with a clear red broth, similar to other Korean hot pot dishes, but it felt more like an overly Americanized version of a Korean meal. I think I’ll have to give it another chance.

The service was outstanding. The woman who served us was incredibly kind, providing drinks for our friend's birthday and leaving pitchers of water to keep us refreshed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy, traditional decor. However, I did find the portion sizes to be a bit small for the price. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I accidentally found this restaurant with my girlfriends. We initially planned to go to the Korean hot pot across the street, but it was too crowded. I'm so glad we discovered this cozy, quiet place where we could enjoy a conversation over some delicious food without having to shout, haha. I ordered the grilled sliced beef, and it was seasoned and cooked just right. The prices were reasonable, and there was more than enough left over to take home. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely return to explore the rest of the menu!

This restaurant offers the best bulgogi in Texas! The banchan is fantastic, and my personal favorite is the potato banchan. The service is stellar, with cozy booth seating and ample table space for sharing multiple dishes. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating. It's conveniently located just off the freeway. I highly recommend it for family gatherings or a relaxed lunch.
