The food was good. I mean, not bad. the prices are reasonable. but I give 3 stars because of their very slow service. we needed more than 2 hours to eat without desserts. it took 15 minutes to have a waitress to order drinks, then another 15 minutes to get it. they closed the kitchen without asking us if we want desserts. so no desserts, no coffee. when I paid, I said thank you, and they said nothing in opposition. but it's okay. now in playa there are many Asian food options,
Excellent Thai food that meets vegan requirements. desserts are also great! In view of the location of the parking in playa del carmen they were also helpful with the provision of coins for the counter. the service is fast, English speaking and excellent. also, beautiful near the beach...and close to the 5th ave. highly recommended.
The name of this restaurant is now Mae Thai. I have eaten here 3 times now only because I live right above it. The ambience is good. The food is super boring. It’s not bad, per se. But it has no flavor. I lived in...Thailand and there is no restaurant there that lacks the flavor that these guys do. No spice unless you ask for it and all they have is chili sauce. I asked for “solo claras “ with my pad Thai and was told no. I asked 3 times and they flat out refused to separate the yolk from the egg. So no eggs for me. The ambience is good and the service is decent althpugh the girl who served could be more friendly. It comes off as a much nicer restaurant than it is. Flavor! Your food needs flavor!!!
So so pad thai, not worth $220 pesos. Prawns were not fresh. You can get much better pad thai in the streets of bangkok. No coming back
