Maria Maria - Playa del Carmen

The food and service were excellent. Out of 7 days we ended up going there 3 nights for dinner. Beef tornados are to die for! Had that dish 2x. The watercress salad with duck also delicious. Also if you like Michelada. Be sure to order it here. They make it both ways (Mexican and American version w tomato juice) and both versions were muy bien :)*** Be sure to ask for servers MARCO and AHMED. Extremely knowledgeable about the menu, very attentive and kind and just fun to be around.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter, Marco made our dining experience there superb. Even though the food was excellent He was the best part!

We had a group of four couples that visited The Royal resort at the end of January. One of the couples recommended Maria Maria's for dinner. Our dinner was excellent, but the service was even better! Our server suggested a chocolaty desert-ish drink that was awesome. They spent time visiting with us and learning more about our trip and shared a bit of their culture with us. We really enjoyed the personal touch they gave us, it made us feel special. A big thanks to Jorge Agvilar, Edith Ovando, and Adan!

Had Marco as our server and he was so hospitable and attentive! When i wasn't full he rushed out another steak for me! Love Maria Maria, love the Royal, love Marco!

We had multiple choices while staying at the Royal. We tried almost all of the restaurants and while Chef's plate was the most talked up, this was our ultimate favorite, while Chef's Plate was our LEAST favorite. We had New York Strips twice, superb the baked potatoes and the salad was great. There wasn't a thing I didn't like about this restaurant. The staff was amazing, the food, the restaurant itself. We had dinner there more than once. Great experience and I would highly recommend it!
