It is always too crowded, waiting list and very busy... maybe it means the food is good, but I prefer to go to more quiet places.
I don't understand how the service could possibly be any worse anywhere. It's quite an incredible feat to offer such horrible service.Despite the consistently bad service, I come back every once in a while. I work from home, and its a nice place to work and have breakfast , because you will never be interrupted by a waiter seeing if you're doing ok, or if you need anything. Well, good luck ever flagging someone down for anything.Last week, my friend and I came for breakfast. There was only 3 small tables of people in the whole place, so I don't understand why the service was so horrible. It was literally 30 minuets before someone came to our table, so I went to the front of the restaurant to order a coffee, 20 minuets later, still no coffee, or waiter. We just left. Today, I went for the Buffett, I was alone and I thought I could get some work done. The Buffett is usually the day to go, because you don't have to rely on someone to bring your food. I tried to flag the manager down for 20 minuets, to no avail. He made eye contact with me, gave me the one second finger, but never came back. I needed wifi, so I could work, and the code they gave me was outdated. While expressing how disappointed I was, and how disappointed I am every time. Mid sentence the manager ignored me to turn around to help another customer. Get someone in here with some real managerial experience. Ridiculous! This guy has no business running a restaurant. Every single time, the culture with the employees is such that, they almost think your crazy for expecting good service. Their culture is "This is Sanborns, you don't come here for good service, we don't care".
We visited on a Sunday afternoon and ate out on the deck, a quite retreat from the busy scene a few floors down on the street. Our salads were good and the waitress was patient with our Spanglish. She even typed the password into my phone so I could access the free WIFI. (We had a stronger signal by sitting fairly close to the door that opens from the main restaurant out to the deck, although we could still see the ocean from there.)
We waited an hour to be served after the waiter took our order which never showed up. The waiter left four tables stranded. Avoid this place!
A very nice ocean view if you set outside. It can be winding and warm. The food was good but there are many better choices for breakfast or lunch,
