India Palace Plymouth

Good lunch buffet, very good mango lassi. I prefer Taste of India, but this is almost as good. The desserts are yummy. Endless naan. My water got filled, and never got empty. The place is clean and nicely decorated. It's not exceptional or amazing, but it's very good. I enjoyed it, and I might eat there again

Went to the restaurant a little bit after 8PM. Place was open until 10. After I was seated they started putting up all the chairs around me. I ordered. It took a long time to just get a glass of water. I ordered tea as well, took forever. I asked for a 2nd glass and it took 15 minutes. I actually had to walk back to the kitchen area and ask about it. I was told we are still microwaving it What? Then some guys from outside started dragging in a blue hose, apparently were going to do some carpet cleaning. Restaurant should have closed early for this, or at least informed guests. Again no one was around when I was finished and ready to pay. I went up to the register (most India palaces will bring you a bill then take your card) and stood around, and eventually I rang the bell. Server showed up, I asked for my bill. He said he wasn 't going to give me my bill until I paid. How does that even make sense. He just thought I should hand over my credit card and he would be allowed to charge me whatever he wanted and only then would I see it.

Great people and service. Excellent tandoori chicken and fairly good biryanis with good portion size. However goat curries are a letdown. Goat is firm and not well cooked.

Exceptional lunch buffet on a Saturday afternoon. Nothing too fancy, just quality Indian/Bengali comfort food including naan, chicken makhani, beef and lamb curries, vegetable curries, salad, and gulab jamun. Tailored to the American palate, India Palace does a great job making their buffet items delicious and accessible although a bit simple compared to Hydrebadi biriyani houses, for example. Nonetheless, solid food that left me feeling full and satisfied. I hope to be back to try more of their menu.

We dined in and the restaurant was very quiet but the people coming in to pick up take out was very consistent. The staff was very friendly and made helpful recommendations and the food was great! Our party tried everything from scallop dishes to chicken, shrimp and goat items. We all shared and there was not one item I wouldn't order again. We'll definitely be back!
