Feedback gevenI 'd like to preface my review by stating that as of my visit (2/3/2024), I was informed that the Plymouth location was under a 'soft launch ' of sorts. It 's worth noting that the experience may change/improve as the store approaches a proper opening. Here 's the good; Everybody on staff that I interacted with were INCREDIBLY kind and welcoming. It was also very clean, which is a major plus compared to other places in Plymouth. The service was also very quick. Job very well done! The menu isn 't very big, which is good for people like me who sometimes have a hard time picking something to eat. That could be a plus or minus depending on who you are, though. Here 's the not-so good; The food and beer that I had were pretty unremarkable. I tried one beer, which was their one and only IPA. I can 't quite remember the name of it, but it had something to do with Koontz Lake . I love IPAs, but I really didn 't care for this one. I 'm not sure if it 's just the batch, but there was very little flavor or noticeable hops to this IPA- it 's also quite weak clocking in at 5% ABV. I also ordered the french dip sandwich and a side of sweet potato fries, and while I 'm certainly no chef, I 'll say that this meal was sort of bland and has a lot of room for improvement. I 'll close the negatives with one last thing, I would recommend against sitting at the bar if you are taller than 5 1/2 ft. There is virtually no legroom at all, and my lower back hurt after only about 25-30 minutes sitting there. In closing, I 'll certainly be back sometime in the future to see how the place evolves over time. It 's always nice to get a new place to eat in Plymouth.
This is a great place with great beer. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
My wife and I happened to stop in the Koontz Lake Brewery while we were looking at real estate at the lake. It's simple exterior belies a delightfully decorated local pub. I tried their own brews while my wife sampled their root beer. Neither of us was disappointed! Great brews, great atmosphere, and a couple friendly owners. This place is a hidden gem.
If you like slow service due to being under staffed and Okay food.. then this is where to go.
When it comes to other breweries, this one was kinda lacking. Most of the beers were just okay, and the food the kitchen could produce was no better than eating at home using a microwave. Hopefully, they have improved. I may give them another try since they will have a location thats not out of my way.
