They offer a wide variety of flavors and their homemade cookies for the ice cream sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The owner, who also runs the adjacent Gerties, is very friendly and a joy to talk to. He is always busy, but manages to juggle multiple tasks effortlessly. This place is truly a hidden gem in the world of small businesses.
This morning, I visited Gerties and Berties and ordered a Bacon baguette and a delicious coffee. The gentleman who served me was kind, friendly, and very helpful. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The girl in the ice cream shop was also very friendly and made a delicious dessert for my granddaughter. I will definitely be coming back for my morning coffee!
The place to visit on a very hot day after a boat trip. The clotted cream Eton Mess was to die for. Staff were friendly and helpful with a lovely sense of humour.
A good place to wait for a boat trip. Affogato was exactly what I needed to perk me up on a hot sticky morning. First time I’ve had it made with cinnamon ice cream, delicious.
Stopped here for an ice cream and a drink, a saturday lunchtime, weather fair and plenty of tourists around, yet for some unknown reason, there was just two staff trying to manage two outlets, make the food, take orders, be a waiter, it was simply a crazy situation. A simple order of an ice cream and a can of coke could not be fulfilled and thus after a period of waiting, we moved on. I'm not blaming the two lads that worked hard, but it was an impossible situation. After months of closer and lockdown, i would have thought every outlet would be trying to maximise profit, not turn business away. With so many outlets close by, it is east to walk on past to the next. Such a shame
