Derriford Chinese Takeaway - Plymouth

We typically order from this restaurant once a week because we usually enjoy the food. However, today's meal was disappointing. It seems like there may be a new chef who needs some retraining. The chicken balls and duck had a strange taste, and the chips were only lukewarm. To make matters worse, both of us experienced stomach issues within an hour of eating. This experience has prompted us to start looking for a new spot for our weekly takeout.

This restaurant review is extremely negative. The food was delivered almost 2 hours late, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and unappetizing. The curry sauce was congealed, the chicken fried rice was greasy and cold, and the spring rolls were also greasy and cold. The reviewer was unable to reach the restaurant over the phone due to a constantly engaged tone. This was not the first time the reviewer experienced such poor service.

This restaurant is terrible and I would recommend avoiding it. I ordered through Uber Eats and was initially told delivery would take 20 minutes, but it ended up being almost an hour and a half. When the food arrived, some items were missing. I called to report this and was told it was because they were busy. They offered to deliver the missing items in 45 minutes, but I requested a refund instead. They refused, claiming the manager wasn't available, and then hung up on me. To make matters worse, the food was tasteless. Do yourself a favor and find another place to eat.

This is our new favourite Chinese. New to the area we wanted a local Chinese and tried a few after resting on this one. The food is banging. Delivery is always a reasonable time and delivered hot. Good value for money, great size dishes. Chips are sick. Love it. We will continue to order from you every week for the rest of our lives. Well done you

Absolute poor food, and tasted soapy and nasty, different items came instead of my actual food order. Tried calling with no answer.
