It's a spoon, you get what you're paying for. I always had fun here. there is a coworker with an incredible bart. he's amazing! the drinks are not amazing, but it is a spoon. I would recommend it for a cheap night pre-payday!

Good service and cheap. the first time back in this pub since before covid. menu slightly smaller (for example, no lamming) and the fish and chips had shrunk. beautiful meal before going out later

Despite the loud customers at the next table 6pm ish this pub is always a lovely spot for food. I ate the manager's special sourdough burger which was 6oz. of perfectly cooked juicy pure beef and a decent salad in a bun for £2.99. I ordered a 99p side of coleslaw to perfect it. Absolutely top notch restaurant quality food. My friend always has the ham egg and chips but with peas instead of ham. So, egg chips and peas : . The bottomless all day coffee is great value and the staff are always very kind. Go on curry night with your partner if you have one; can't go wrong. They'll think you've pushed the boat out, if you can get a quiet corner or garden seat. There's even a little park nearby for a romantic stroll afterwards. It's a tiny park, so don't bank on burning any calories. Last time we ate here as a family my little boy said his stomach was going to explode, but apart from that he'd enjoyed it. But his children's fish was the size of his forearm so that was probably why. It was perfectly battered and cooked fish. Fully recommended for any occasion, if you can get a table. Free limited parking nearby in Barracks carpark or there's a pay and display.
