The Copper Dock Winery - Pocahontas

Lovely setting by the lake, great servers music. Something for everyone on the light eating menu. We look forward to our next visit.

Love this place cold beer for me great tasty wine for my wife. Good food friendly service. Early spring and late summer when it's not to hot or cold is our favorite time. But if we are in the area we stop if they're open.

Upon arrival, we were delighted by the beautiful view, the menu, and especially the warm welcome for our family dog. Our server even brought ice water in a dog bowl along with our drinks! One note: we received quite a few odd looks for wearing our masks due to COVID-19 (this review is from August 2020). It seemed like we were the only customers and staff wearing them. This isn’t a criticism of Copper Dock; it’s just an observation. I’m not sure about the rules in Bond County, but other visitors might want to take note. We kept our masks on while entering and leaving, but took them off at the table. Being seated outdoors likely contributed to a more relaxed atmosphere. The menu had plenty of options for both adults and kids, and everything we ordered was fantastic and served in a timely manner. We shared two appetizers: the Bavarian pretzel, which was amazing with its crispy exterior and soft interior, and the jumbo roasted ravioli, which was also delicious. For our main courses, we enjoyed tasty burgers, fish and chips, and caprese flatbread. Everyone was satisfied! My wife particularly enjoyed a rosé on that warm day, downing two glasses. While some aspects of our visit were influenced by our unique situation as dog owners, we had a lovely day. An acoustic live music set was playing that evening, and we were hungry after a long day, eager to eat outside with our dog by our side. Discovering such a beautiful environment with a server who was accommodating to dog owners only enhanced our overall experience. It truly felt like a wonderful find for all of us.

My husband and I love Coppet Dock Winery. Tonight, I had the Caesar salad with steak, and he enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich. I really liked my salad, and he was happy with his sandwich. We also had two bottles of wine and ordered a rosé to take home. We keep returning because we always have a great experience. The breeze was just right tonight—not too hot or too cold—and it wasn't very crowded. Living near Troy, IL, this winery is the perfect getaway for us without actually being far from home.

I visited this restaurant once, but I can't wait to go back. It's incredibly peaceful and beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. Although I'm not usually a wine drinker, my husband and I both really enjoyed the wine there. I'm looking forward to when it's back in stock!
