When we asked for one of the items we wanted, the server seemed completely lost. Even after we repeated our request and showed her a photo of the item, she had no idea what it was. This was a seasonal winter item (pumpkin), and I understand if she needed to check the recipe, but why aren’t they informed about new items beforehand? For our next order, I first inquired if they had hot fudge or whipped cream. Since they didn’t have hot fudge, I asked for chocolate sauce and whipped cream on my dessert. I noticed the other server seemed ready to mix everything up, so I had to clarify once again that I wanted the fudge sauce and whipped cream on my dessert, just like a sundae. Is anyone there paying attention? When I finally received my dessert, I couldn’t help but laugh. Not only did they give me a sundae that looked haphazard, but when I started eating, I realized there was no caramel, which was supposed to be included in my order. The only way to get more caramel was to either buy a new dessert or add it to the one I already had, but slathering it on top wasn’t the same since my dessert had already melted. They refused to remake it from scratch, despite the fact that they had gotten my order wrong. Where are the managers and owners in all of this? If they are choosing to hire these young high school students, it seems they should be providing them with proper training. It really feels like the manager could use some training as well. This will be my last visit to this establishment.
Delicious ice cream! It's not inexpensive, but it's a delightful taste experience. This location employs many ISU students as staff, and they don’t seem as attentive as those at other Cold Stone locations I’ve visited. I say this because while they add the mix-ins, they don’t really integrate them well; they just fold the ice cream over them and consider it finished.
The ice here is great, but the service is a bit slow. They really need to have 3 to 4 employees working behind the counter to handle the demand. Overall, it's a pretty good spot for ice.
I've never been to Stone Cold Creamery before, but my sister really enjoys going there. She told me how amazing the chocolate ice cream is, so one afternoon I decided to check it out. I saw a picture of an ice cream flavor called "Kekse with Caramel" and thought it looked delicious. I asked the girl who was working there if she could make me that flavor, but unfortunately, she said she didn't know how to make it.
The ice cream is delicious, perfectly blended with a variety of toppings. They now offer shakes that are just as creamy and satisfying as the ice cream itself.
