However, I have noticed that the prices have significantly increased over the last two summers. I understand that the rising costs of ingredients and labor are being passed on to customers. Unfortunately, the price hikes are the only reason I can't give this place a 5-star rating.
The pizza and the service are outstanding. If you're a fan of great pizza, this is definitely the place for you!
When we cross the area, we always stop for Joey's pizza, diving or going out. Sauce is good with the cheese. It's right on the boardwalk, so you pay top dollar. The food prices also rise on the boardwalk. big cheesecake, a soda, costs about $35. $28 for a pizza pipe is above average, but again, it is the boardwalk..
My friend and I took our kids out for pizza on Tuesday, April 19, during spring break. My friend introduced me to the delicious pizza at Joey Tomato's last summer, and I had been looking forward to returning to the shore all winter to enjoy some fun at Frank's arcade with the kids. When we arrived at Joey Tomato's, we were warmly greeted by a woman with short blond hair. I decided to try the "Slice of Heaven," which is what I believe she called it while serving at the counter. The pizza had a crispy crust, perfectly melted cheese, and generous slices of tomato on top. It absolutely lived up to its name! The kids had a great time adding their mushroom slices to their pizzas. I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews, but our experience was lovely, and we can't wait to come back after the kids are done with school!
