Feedback gevenThe Hunter Valley is a very enjoyable place to visit for all ages.Lots of great Wineries, Restaurants and other food places to see and lots of sporting things to do for all the family.Other towns and places close to visit for pics and sightseeing or just relaxing.
I've complained before online, but on this occasion this place needs to be called out.Hunter Valley Cupcake Cafe was quite simply the worst service I've ever experienced and that's saying something!First the cremated a BLT (see images below). When we asked for it to be changed, they asked for a 50% surcharge for the replacement and shouted at us in the process about complaining? The shouting scared the kids and highly embraced the Japanese family sitting next to us - not the kind of customer service you would expect in one of NSWs main tourist areas.
We waited more than 10 minutes (after ordering and paying )for 2 coffees at a quiet time of day.Eventually after reminding the staff that we were waiting, the coffees arrived a few minutes later. They were luke warm. On asking for them to be heated there was no apology just a comment that they had only just been made . The staff consisted of 2 sullen young girls whom it appeared were "unhappy to serve"
Great atmosphere and great service. Meal range was a bit limited but the quality was good. Prices are reasonable too. The only prickle was $67 for a carton of Corona from the bottle shop. Apparently it is ok "because they are the only bottle shop in the region". Fair's fair - with such a good pub product there is no need to risk it all with unnecessary price gouging at the bottle-oSadly, they've lost me.
Harrigan's Irish Pub has a great atmosphere, staff are very friendly and the food was delicious. Service was also good.
