Il Cacciatore Restaurant - Pokolbin

We made a dinner reservation and were thankful that we had. The restaurant was packed but we did not feel cramped. The restaurant is typically Italian Bistro, well lit and very comfortable. The waitering staff are friendly, happy and far from annoying. They know the dishes well and make very good and appropriate recommendations. The Veal Marsala was particularly tasty and complex in flavours and textures.A great evening all round.

My family ate here on Saturday night and everyone (from my parents in their 70's to my teenage daughters) really enjoyed the meals and attentive service. I had the seafood stew which was delicious. It does get busy, so I was glad that we came early. I live nearby and there are plenty of restaurants to consider when we want to eat out, but Il Cacciatore is at the top of our list for keeping everyone happy.

We ordered take away pizza as apparently almost everything is closed Sunday night in Pokolbin! Not many choices of toppings, 5 if I recall correctly. Pizzas were made quickly and fresh, so no complaints there. The base was fantastic and crispy, but the toppings let them down. Way too much cheese, it overpowered everything else.

Recently stayed in the Hunter & ordered takeaway. Limited takeaway menu available however great selection. Easy to order, collected within 15 mins & the best pizza I've had in ages. Will definitely dine in next time we're in the Hunter!

Really enjoyed the dinner menu and it's so nice when you order a drink you get a full glass you don't mind paying $10 for a full glass. The steak was cooked to perfection Will definitely be back
