Situated just back from the balcony which overlooks the beach at Polignano a Mare, most travellers seem to walk straight past this outdoor, but sheltered, courtyard restaurant, which also has an indoor bar area. The menu caught my eye as I knew very quickly that it would suit all of our party. The girls had beautiful salads, and I had a dish of crushed potatoes with a poached egg and vegetables – it doesn’t sound much but it was presented well and tasted delicious. All washed down with either a local white wine, or in my case an Aperol spritz. Service was attentive, and they spoke good English. Altogether a little gem.
Very friendly and a good service but the food was a bit unusual. Two of us had the poached egg with mash but it doesn't come up and you may expect. The mash was around the edge of the plate, lumpy and cold with the egg in the middle.
Very exellent food and good service. It is worth going there and try the dishes with very good combination of different flavours.
A few steps away from the stunning terrace of Lama Monachile overlooking the blue deep sea of Polignano, Spnzè is corner of Apulian paradise where to sip a glass of local wine and discover authentic Apulian tastes. Please do me a favour: don’t leave before ordering the baccalà....and the cialda!!! And then try to choose among the desserts semection: mission impossible! Highly reccomended!!!
They only serve seasonal, local and available dishes. What was very interesting, small menu, but very high quality. We had 3 different main dishes and every single one were very special and tasty. Just try it!
