I agree with the ratings of this location. I was raised on authentic Chinese food, so I know what to expect with panda. Sometimes, I crave Americanized Chinese, and Panda is one of my go-to places. All that said, I still left disappointed from my experience at this location. The food is generally decent at Panda, and the food here was mediocre by Panda 's standards. Equally underwhelming was the mediocre service. I thought maybe it was because I came close to closing, only to find out they were open for 1.5 more hours!Onto what made my experience so mediocre. I ordered the bigger plate with black pepper angus steak, orange chicken, and kung pao chicken. I needed to spend at least $15 to get my free appetizer reward in app. I ordered my plate with half chow mein and half veggies, which is my usual. Those tasted fine and as I would have expected. I got the chicken egg roll with sweet and sour sauce as my free appetizer. I have to say that the egg roll was pretty tasty! It was my first time trying that. My entrees were orange chicken, black pepper steak, and kung pao chicken. I splurged on the black pepper steak to reach my $15. The orange chicken and black pepper steak were disappointing. In fact, for the steak, it looked a bit old to me, so I asked the employees if chef was making a fresh batch. I was told that it was fresh. Well, it turned out to be the most lukewarm stale tasting freshly made food I 've ever eaten. Either something is wrong with their warmers, or they weren 't being truthful. Regardless, it was definitely not worth the $1.25 upcharge. Only the kung pao chicken tasted decent out of my entrees. Even the orange chicken was mediocre. In addition, the service left a lot to be desired. I don 't expect 5-star service from Panda, but this was probably 1.5 stars by Panda standards. Only about two employees were friendly; the others verged on rude. I asked for a bag and was abruptly handed a paper bag. I asked if they had plastic, and all they said was no. They didn 't even bother to help me put it in your bag. I understand that this is in a student center, but they really need to teach better customer service skills. My guess is that some of their employees don 't like their job, and it shows. If it weren 't one of the few reasonably priced dining options, I probably wouldn 't be back. If I rated on food alone, maybe 2.5 stars would be acceptable. The service (or lack thereof) definitely brought it down to 2 stars for me. All I have to say for this location is do better.
Absolutely the worst panda I 've ever been to. I feel like if the student workers are to stress to focus on the customer experience. They 're losing the grasp of the concept of service. The food I was served was the last of the bucket, even after asking for freshly made large order. I was denied, served and charged. The staff made it point to argue even after I had asked for medium empty box and the large order fit ... I had to order another Large just to compare and I was told the 5oz cups will always serve the same amount. Well, they didn 't weigh the same. Saddest part the students were being convinced by another wrong student instead of just doing as I order originally. The first order was also dingy and not much meat. Rude employees caused for a hostile ambiance. Sad Etiquette and Proformance. One solid star for the Women non-student that said sorry as I Left disappointed in my fellow broncos.
They are AWESOME!!! PLUS THEY MAKE MY FOOD FRESH EVERY TIME WITHOUT COMPLAINING!!
