Down Home Deli - Pompano Beach

Down Home Deli is under new management,everything is made fresh daily and made per order.

I've been coming to the festival flea market for at least 15 years and have always come to Down Home Deli in the food court for their hot dog special. Never had a problem until today when the service was terrible due to rude employee who took our order. Plus the hot dogs were nasty, not Hebrew national as we ordered. They had cheese and relish inside the hot dog. We showed this to the manager who totally didn't care. Will never come back here again.

We ordered from the left and they took Apple Pay. We walked to the right to pick up lunch. I ordered an eight dollar pastrami sandwich with coleslaw and a pickle. When we picked up there was a condiment section with extra napkins, cutlery, salad dressings mustard and ketchup. Everything looks clean and well organized. The staff were wearing masks and those handling food in the back wore gloves. My husband ordered the lunch special a hotdog fries and a large soda. Lunch was $15 and there were lots of clean tables spaced apart to sit down and enjoy. My pastrami was warm fatty and just tasted like salt, I took off half the bread. The coleslaw was an edible and the fries were a disappointment. My husband enjoyed his hotdog saturated in mustard.

Terrible deli with absolutely horrible service. Very rude man. Older white haired guy. I ordered a foot long hot dog and he brought out a much smaller hot dog. When I told him it was the wrong one he told me it's the same thing. I showed my receipt having paid extra money and he said if I want my money back here you go and that was it. This man is obviously doing this on the side and hates what he does and it shows with the way he treats all of his customers.

I have no specific comments, but I'm curious about what the sign at the cash register means.
