Free...wi-fi is practical for traveling. I would recommend this place for a bit after visiting the ruins to eat.
Very acceptable quality eating: generous pizza, spaghetti dish, abundant salat. all served with cheerfulness and humor. the very good toilets are a real lection for all such facilities about what is possible.
We visited the lucullus restaurant during a bus tour to pompeii from our cruise ship. the restaurant was recommended by our guide as an appropriate place to eat with a "fixed price" menu and was a short walk from the most important archaeological site in pompeii. While we were here, several other coach parties also set up, suggesting that this is a regular agreement. the restaurant is quite large and can sit a good number of diners and our party was together on tables of four. the menu was preset and we had the offer of a pasta bowl or pizza for a main course with fresh bread, salad, fresh water and a bottle of wine for every table. three of us had the pasta court that was very good, and the fourth member of our table had the pizza that was quite a big dish and they could not finish it. for dessert we had a sorbet, which was very refreshing after our morning exploration of the archaeological site in the sun. that was all for a fixed price of 16 euro. the three cursor would satisfy all, but the greatest of appetite. the service time here of our party who serve on our eating was very good and the table-keeper staff are very efficient in their rolling and courtesy of the maître d. toilet facilities were present in the restaurant and were clean and modern. the location of the restaurant is so that the casual visitor to pompeii would be unlikely to find it without looking or planning, but it is a good alternative to the restaurants in the immediate environment. overall a good experience at lucullus ristorante, a good quality meal time at an acceptable price for a popular tourist attraction such as pompeii. would they look at a return trip if we were ever in the opposite or recommended to others here.
We were on a tour and the guide recommended this restaurant as being cheap and good food. Cheap yes it certainly is €14 per person I think cause we’re on the tour. You get drinks all included and a salad pasta Or pizza and a...lemon sorbet. We got a spaghetti carbonara which had no flavour but the lemon sorbet was super. If your on a budget i recommend but for good food stay away
Having read a number of the reviews for this restaurant, most were like us on a package tour and were brought here by their tour guide. aUnder such circumstances as a tourist restaurant, you cannot expect 5 star food and service. We also had choice...of pasta, salad or pizza. We chose the salad and pizza, which was delivered quickly to our table, the salad was fresh, crispy and well mixed, their marguerite pizza was wood oven baked, bubbling hot and delicious for what is a very basic pizza. Certainly not disgusting as another review has reported. Perhaps they just chose a bad day and we were lucky. For what it was a quick tourist lunch for 10 euros including drinks, we thought that it was good value for money and was ideal for the situation that we found ourselves between tours.
