We walked to a pleasant square and on the far corner was this place with tables outside on the pavements. The staff/owner was very pleasant and quick to help. I needed Ice for my new 8 week old knee cap and after a long day of walking it was swollen and sore! They quickly obliged and filled my bag I provided. The food we ordered was quick and very good. I had a steak which was perfect. Luka had a large pizza. We had no issues and the food was great. I don't agree with the negative reviews of the place, The staff were good, the food good too. Certainly not fine dining perhaps, but good enough for a decent lunch. The location was great for viewing the world going by and far enough away from the exit gates of Pompeii to be pleasant.
Unhygenic UNSAFE FOOD RACIST OWNER. AVOID DISGUSTING UNHYGENIC RUDE RACIST OLD OWNER. DO NOT EAT HERE. Our pizza came with a fly and they tried to pretend that it was oregano but you have to be blind to not see that it was an insect. Toilet was unsanitary and unhygenic and disgusting. Do not go here. Find somewhere else.
Our worst meal whilst in Italy The pizzas were poor Certainly would not go again Not a great me u and certainly not value for money
Came for an evening meal, was lured in by the live music which finished shortly after we sat down. Waited to order food for half an hour, but was told by the waiter who served us drinks that ‘he does not do food’. He was very rude and unhelpful. We then attracted the attention of the owner who said he ‘was coming’ to take our order. 45 minutes later, nothing, despite the restaurant not being very busy and him constantly walking around. We decided not to eat here due to this, just wanted to pay for drinks. They tried to con us in to paying by cash but when we said we didn’t have any, card was ‘okay’. Expressed our disappointment to the main waiter, he said it was because ‘he was the only one who spoke English’ (despite us ordering our drinks in English with a different waiter). On the way out, two Italian ladies sat near us were also leaving and told us ‘we agree’ when we were complaining how bad the service and food was. Was concerned we were experiencing racial discrimination but it seems like this place is just awful to anyone, either italian or other. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
SAVE YOURSELF THE ABUSE AND POTENTIAL FOOD POISONING AND AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! I ordered a grilled chicken salad, which arrived with the CHICKEN STILL RAW. After finally managing to grab my server’s attention, I told her about the chicken and asked to order something else. She said no and whisked my plate back to the kitchen. I’m a waitress back home, and there are two simple rules of the restaurant industry: treat your customers with basic respect and avoid cross contamination. They failed miserably. The plate was dropped back down in front of me with the same pitiful pile of soggy lettuce that had been touching the raw chicken. When I once again asked to order something else, the waitress got in my face, screaming “What do you want? It’s a salad!” I then asked to speak with the manager. It took forever for him to come to my table, and he was just as rude as his employee. Instead of being apologetic, he tried to get me to pay for the contaminated salad, but finally let me go when I agreed to pay the for the water I drank. This was my first night in Italy, and it totally soured my experience. I thought that Italians were supposed to be known for their food, so I’m sure their ancestors are rolling in their graves.
