Restaurante Cantinho do Lugar de Baixo

The place has a good location, but this is the only positive at this location. the personal is uninterested and out of intervention, eating is very poor quality and very expensive. I wouldn't recommend it and never go back.

With a wealth of restaurants on the island you would think that competition would help keep quality high but not this place. On the way to the airport from our home, we decided to grab a bit for lunch. Maybe the giveaway is that there...are several restaurants at this stop by the sea and this one was empty! By now we know that one of the standards a restaurant can be judged on is their Polvo (octopus). My other half should, by now, should have earned his gold star as a Polvo judge. A reasonable portion served grilled but without the taste of seasoning and just a bit overcooked and rubbery. My red snapper was as dry as anything, again, overcooked and underseasoned. Our waiter was pleasant enough, but the counter staff disengaged. Sorry guys but, as I drive past here, at least twice a week, that's two opportunities you could have grabbed but the only thing you will see of me now are my taillights!

We meet here with friend's, lovely location by the sea, the service , the staff and food is very good. A lovely restaurant for lunch as the weather is always good here. It's fantastic.

Close to the beach, here you can eat some good snacks like picado and bolo do caco. Dont Forget the sangria!
