Very warm atmosphere, local meals and an excellent dessert

We had driven into Pontarlier and chosen the restaurant by chance. Restaurant was nicely located by the river. Beautiful little house restaurant run by a middle age couple. The food choices were on the blackboard outside the restaurant (we didn't know that). Food was great. The appetizers were delicious and remarkably made and very presentable. Our main course was a quiche. We enjoyed it tremendously tasty and just the right amount. Coffee was good and well presented as well. The owners do not speak any English so communicating with them was a slight challenge with my limited french.

Wonderful little restaurant right by the Doubs river. Very good service and the meals are always wonderful. Equally ideal for a quiet and calm dinner as for a larger company. Be sure to book in advance though, they are popular. The one thing that could be improved is the wine selection. If half points could be awarded, it would get 4.5...
