They were helpful in assisting with a situation that affected our ability to enjoy the movie. A couple of girls were talking and laughing extremely loud throughout the entire movie and so we notified a staff member. Once they noticed the staff member watching they began to talk badly about my dog out of anger. He was not in their space or disruptive to the movie despite being slightly restless in the beginning. After he started displaying concern for my health, I left the auditorium because I went into a medical episode so I found a quiet place in the grille. The manager noticed me leaving abruptly and took action to remove them where they threw a fit and invaded my friend’s personal space, saying horrible things to them and spreading false information about my dog. The manager, who was familiar with my dog’s behavior from our previous encounters, understood he is a legitimate service dog and calmly escorted them out of the theater. He came and let me know when they had left and since the movie was almost over, I just sat in the grille seating area.
Great place for any age. Everything is easily accessible the chairs are amazing.
For a 5pm IMAX screening, no one was allowed to enter the theater until 5:05, then the movie abruptly started before most people had found their seats. It was a bad way to start a movie, especially for how much each ticket cost. But the rest of the experience was good, with great sound too.
Great seats for sure. And lots of legroom. Felt the price for candy and soda was reasonable. It's nice that you don't have to wait in line forever just to refill your beverage again too. Added bonus was the clearly lit seat numbers, and the built-in food and beverage trays lol
World's tallest IMAX, except a third of the screen is occluded by a plexiglass barrier. My girlfriend and I came here to see Oppenheimer on opening night. It was a long drive and the tickets were not cheap. I was looking forward to experiencing Oppenheimer in the full aspect ratio on this huge IMAX screen. Much to my disappointment, when we got to our seat, there was a plexiglass barrier in front of us that literally covered a third of the screen. It seems like this is only an issue for the row I was in (row F), and the front row of the theater. It is semi-transparent, and yes, you can still make out the movie through it. But I paid specifically for the full IMAX experience. The plexiglass was a distraction for the entire movie. I was extremely annoyed and disappointed. Royal Cinema should either stop selling tickets to these seats, or put a BIG disclaimer when you buy them, in addition to a steep discount. I would have rather watched this movie on a standard screen than to see two thirds of this IMAX screen.
